I love the new ad campaign to boost New York's tourism. It's a risky move, turning something over to the public to fill in with their own thoughts (that new myspace logo, anyone? Totally lame) but they've made it personal but not cheesy, and completely interactive.
It's hard to believe the iconic logo has been around since 1977. It's been used, loved, reused, repurposed and become such a part of the city that it's instantly recognisable. And thankfully hasn't been overused to the point of annoyance, like the British "Keep Calm..." posters which frankly, if I see another re-take off I'm just going to snap. This though - just seems to tick all the boxes.
New York residents, frequent visitors and lovers out there - what would you draw?
